Beginning 10 min (W) | Greetings & warm up - greet students, let them respond to greeting and take their places - ask lesson-opening questions about day, date, topic, etc. - ask students to write down the following in their copybooks: November, 2nd Time Today we will learn to ask for and tell the time. - draw students’ attention to the lesson objective and make sure they all understand it Link with Prior Learning – Clock Song Gap Fill - Tell students that now they will review some of their diurnal/nocturnal animals and be introduced to their new topic: time -Play the Hickory Dickory Dock song one time & encourage students to write down as many words as they can recognize. Tell them to try to spell correctly. Do NOT show the video this time. -Play the song again. Show the video and tell students to check their answers.
