Learners revise the new words from the previous lesson with the help of flashcards

Show students the video of light sources, ask them try to guess the topic and identify what words they already know in English

Brainstorm & write on the board different light sources that the students saw in the video and other light sources in English they may know

Light Sources

Pass out the light sources notes with pictures. Have students cut these and glue them into their vocabulary books.

Go through the presentation of light sources. Have students pronounce the words and take time to explain the sun information and the torch/flashlight information.

I Can & Plurals

1. Remind students about plural forms of words with slide 16.

2. Show students the animated images, and have them ask a partner: What can you see?

3. The partner should answer using the correct plural//singular form and a sentence (i.e. I can see three fireflies/I can see fireflies/I can see many fireflies)

4. Call on a set of students to share answers with the class.

Reflection Home task

Play the sources of light video about man-made vs natural light.

Pass out the venn-diagram slips. Tell students to start (and finish for homework) putting their new light source words in the appropriate category. Refer to slide 16 for help/clarification.
