Learners will be able to:

Name animals and tell where they live providing basic information.

Identify the location of some animals

Comprehend and recognize some of the new words while reading the text and answer the questions

Use adjectives while describing Sources of Light that are natural and what are man-made

Learners have met the learning objective (3.1.6.1 / 3.2.1.1/3.5.3.1) if they can:

Understand simple fiction text about source of light;

Warm up.

Teacher starts with revision as this is the first lesson in the term after break:

  • How are you?
  • How old are you?
  • What day / date is it today?
  • What is the weather like today?
  • What did you do on the holiday?

Teacher puts flashcards with vocabulary from the previous term in the centre of the classroom Ss are divided into two groups one by one two members from different group comes to take a flash card and name the word, the amount of words for each group is counted;

Then Teacher asks students to make one sentence with revised words;

Teacher turns off the light in the classroom and asks what happened?

Students share their answers, (it was light and became dark.). Then they are asked what gives us light (sun); Ss are shown pictures of sun, moon and Earth.

Students are suggested to listen to the song about this objects;

Then they are introduced new vocabulary;

To practice vocabulary Students in pairs:

  • connect pictures and words;
  • fill in missing letters and connect words with pictures
